Junior Boots Philosophy
In Junior Boots, we create a home away from home where fun and play are central to early learning. Whanaungatanga (relationships and connection) is at the heart of all we do.
We build strong, trusting bonds with each tamaiti, supporting their sense of belonging through warm, respectful, and responsive interactions.
We work in partnership with whānau, knowing parents and caregivers are a child’s first and most important teachers. When whānau feel connected, so do their tamariki. We honour each child’s cultural identity, valuing their language, traditions, and background as taonga (treasures).
Tamariki are supported to express themselves and feel proud of who they are. Independence is encouraged every day. Whether it’s putting on shoes, sharing kai, or helping with routines, every moment is a chance to learn and grow.
Respect is woven through everything we do - for ourselves, each other, and our environment. We guide tamariki in expressing feelings, building friendships, and caring for the world around them.
Through living we learn - Mā te ora ka ako and in Junior Boots, we nurture belonging, grow strong relationships, and inspire curiosity as tamariki discover their place in the world.
